Father Tom Heneghan RIP
Fr. Tom Heneghan, Parish Priest of Corpus Christi, died very suddenly on 6 March 2013. Please remember Fr Tom in your prayers and let his goodness, kindness and wonderful sense of humour serve as an example and as a strength to us all. Fr. Tom, together with his family and the wider Church which he served with such integrity and humility are remembered each year on the anniversary of his death.
On learning of Fr Tom’s death, Archbishop Peter Smith wrote that “He was a first-class priest, a wonderful example to us all, of total dedication to his vocation to be the shepherd and father of the people he was sent to serve. He will be greatly missed by his parishioners, his family and his brother priests in the Archdiocese and beyond … I have no doubt that as he meets the Lord he served so faithfully for forty years, both here and in Ecuador, he will be greeted with the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the Kingdom prepared for you.” May he rest in peace.”
