A Childs Drawing of a Baptism

The parish runs a baptism programme throughout the year for all parents who wish to have their child/children baptised. At least one of the parents should be a baptised Catholic.

The baptism session is relaxed and informal, led by a parent from the parish and usually held on the third Saturday of every month. Its purpose is to help parents better understand the Sacrament Baptism, to consider what responsibilities it places on them and give an outline of the service. It offers parents the opportunity to meet other families and increase their links with the parish community.

If you would like your child baptised in the parish, or require further information, please see one of the priests after a Sunday Mass.

Adults can also be baptised, this is done through our Faith Enquiry Programme – the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
